Evidence-based practice is often conducted with unique outcomes in mind. The evidence-based practice practitioners who share their results can both add to the general body of knowledge and serve as an advocate for the application of Evidence-based practice. This discussion explores the strategies for disseminating EBP within my organization, community, or industry. To disseminate EBP within my organization, the two strategies that I would use are journal clubs and evidence based grand rounds within my clinic. These two strategies provide a smaller setting that will for increased probing and dialogue and provide for an opportunity for increased collaborative connections. This is a way to improve EBP discussions, build relationships, and the EBP in discussion even better (Gallagher-Ford et al., 2011).To overcome these barriers, one would need the support of both the organization’s management and nurse leaders. This support is important in informing the staff about the importance of the EBP. In addition, specific research and research evidence can help support the EBP to capture the attention of the staff and make them adopt the EBP. Staff and organizational education are also important in supporting the EBP in place and ensuring its success (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2018).
