Write a Research Proposal
. Choose any research topic that interests you and write a ’Research Proposal’ on the topic. Your proposal should follow the following standard research proposal writing (this proposal could be for a master thesis, departmental research activity or research bid to be submitted to a Government Ministry: 1. Introduction 1.1. Background of the study 1.2. Statement of the problem 1.3. Objectives of the study 1.4. Scope & significance of the study 1.5. Limitations of the study 2. Theoretical Framework 2.1. Discussion about the availability of literature (journal articles and other material) 2.2. Brief discussion of the analytical (theoretical) framework 3. Research Design and Methodology 3.1. Discuss the sources of data (whether it is primary or secondary or both) 3.2. If primary, then description of the target population (type, size of the population) 3.3. Explain if there is a need for sampling 3.4. If there is a need for sampling, discuss the sample size and sampling technique/s 3.5. Data collection technique 3.6. Data preparation, presentation and analysis technique (methodology)
