Base on my perspective related to smoker’s college’s students there is negative correlation between the rate of cigarette smoking and the college students’ GPA for college credit courses. As we can conclude that one variable increases the other will decrease or vice versa which indicate that have relationship (Gravertter & Wallnau, 2013). Although, this relationship may not considered uncommon where it may happened other variables may have contributed to the decrease of GPA which indicate that student many not concentrated more time on study for their courses work at school. The factor which contributed to understand the graph due to scatter plot cluster it will be difficult to tell the strength of the line (Gravetter & Wallnau, 2013). Some of the studies indicate that, in 1964 the office of the United States Surgeon General issued an extensive report, smoking linking cigarette smoking with a number of physical diseases. The report also considering the question of personality traits associated with the smoking habit (VELDMAN, 1960).
