Hello everyone,

First of all I think I’ve said this already I am not the best at simple math let alone statistics so when it comes to problems like this I always do the same thing. I look at some examples try to figure it out and go from there. I did that and found out how difficult some of these probabilities can get so my question is going to be more on the simpler side. Hope it challenges you guys just enough to get something out of it.

80 people are in a group and 4 have the same last name.

Two of those people with the same last name were removed from the group. What is the probability of 2 more of those people with the same last name also being removed if the first person with the same last named was never replaced?

Also what is the probability of 2 more people with the same last name being removed if the first two with the same last name were put back in the group?

well there it is enjoy.
