I have data that needs stats test ran and explained. The data is pre and post test data for a test between 2 groups of students at different schools. The second set of data is end of year exams by the students at 2 different schools, including 4 subcategor

  1. Is there a statistically significant difference in student achievement of fifth-grade students who are taught using the departmentalized model and those who are taught using the self-contained model as measured by the Measures of Academic Progress test?
  2. Is there a statistically significant difference in student achievement of fifth-grade students who are taught using the departmentalized model and those who are taught using the self-contained model as measured by the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress test?
  3. Is there a statistically significant difference in student achievement of fifth-grade students who are taught using the departmentalized model and those who are taught using the self-contained model as measured by the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress test across different genders?
  4. Is there a statistically significant difference in student achievement of fifth-grade students who are taught using the departmentalized model and those who are taught using the self-contained model as measured by the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress test across different socio-economic statuses?

The following hypotheses were considered:

  1. Null hypothesis: There is not a statistically significant difference in student achievement of fifth-grade students who are taught using the departmentalized model and those who are taught using the self-contained model as measured by the Measures of Academic Progress test.
  2. Null hypothesis: There is not a statistically significant difference in student achievement of fifth-grade students who are taught using the departmentalized model and those who are taught using the self-contained model as measured by the test.

3. Null hypothesis: There is not a statistically significant difference in student achievement of fifth-grade students who are taught using the departmentalized model and those who are taught using the self-contained model as measured by the test across genders.

4.Null hypothesis: There is not a statistically significant difference in student achievement of fifth-grade students who are taught using the departmentalized model and those who are taught using the self-contained model as measured by the test across different socioeconomic status.

For the end of year test, the data gives the number of students in each classification. There are 4 classifications for where their score lands them (advanced, proficient, partially proficient, and not proficient). I need to compare the percentage of students in each classification between the two schools. The subcategories are gender and economically disadvantaged.
