The first step to ensuring that the right treatment is being utilized, mental health professionals need to determine how the presence of Schizophrenia is impacting their life to the point of dysfunction. But outside of medication there are other ways to treat this disorder. Those ways consist of psychotherapy, which has multiple types of therapy that full under it like includes cognitive behavioral therapy, personal therapy, compliance therapy, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, occupational therapy, and family therapy (Comer & Comer, 2021). In many cases, this therapy is mixed with other treatment options for maximum result.
