Research the current Core Measure Data Sets being required for data submission of hospitals, then compare the data being reported and analysis how this data might be used.
Go to https://www.medicare.gov/hospitalcompare/search.html? (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. enter any zip code and compare three different hospitals reported data on any of core measures, give a detailed description of the measure and your reaction to the data set.
Make sure you answer these questions:
What are the findings for the three hospitals? How can you see this data being used for payers? or consumers? or the government? or a specific hospital? Going forward, how do you see this data being used with the current emphasis being placed on quality of care and accountability? This report should be about 2-3 pages.
