How can factoring and LCMs help make solving rational equations simpler? Provide an example.

First of all, the qualitative factors of these numbers are written, least common multiple equals all of their mass factor product (if there are several qualitative factors are the same, then compare the number of the two number of which has the number of the factorization more, multiply more times). For example, least common multiple 45 and 30.

The different prime factors are 2. 5, 3 are the prime factors they both have. Since 45 has two 3, 30 has only one 3, the least common multiple is calculated by multiplying two 3. The least common multiple is equal to 2 * 3 * 3 * 5 = 90
